An Assembly of Principals and Electors of the Parish of St Peter will be held in St Peters Youth & Community Centre on Thursday 14 March 2019 at 7.30pm to:

1    Receive, and if deemed advisable, approve the Act of the Parish Assembly held on Tuesday 26 February 2019.

2         To discuss matters that has recently been raised in respect of the First Time Buyer Homes in Perpetuity Scheme.

3         To seek parishioners agreement to continue to progress the scheme, in accordance with decisions of the previous Parish Assemblies held on 26th April 2016 and 13th September 2017 by voting in a ballot.
4         Subject to approval of item 3, to consider the two options facing us by way of voting in a ballot:
A         Continue to support the proposition lodged by the Constable asking the Planning Minister to produce a revised version of the existing Island Plan which would include the rezoning of the land for the Ville De Manoir Development of 65 units.

B          To work with the Planning Department to include the Ville De Manoir development, with revisions if required, in the new 2020 Island Plan.

​If you are a dog owner then you should have renewed your dog licence in the month of January. If not, please contact your local parish office to renew this licence at a fee of £10.00, if not renewed you can be brought to a Parish Hall Enquiry where a penalty can be incurred.

RATES (JERSEY) LAW 2005

ANNUAL RETURNS – NOTICE TO OWNERS
of land, houses, buildings and other structures

Each owner of land in the Parish has been served with a notice to make a Return of all land, houses, buildings and other structures owned at 1 January 2019.

Any owner who has not received a notice and Return should contact the Connẻtable immediately.

By virtue of this Notice each owner shall be taken to have been served with a notice and it shall not be an excuse for non-compliance for an owner to show that a notice was not served on him.

Any person who fails without reasonable cause to make a Return by Monday 04 February 2019 is guilty of an offence and liable to a fine not exceeding £1,000. A person charged with this offence may be dealt with at a Parish Hall Enquiry and may accept a fine not exceeding £200.

Transfer of land: where ownership of land is transferred, written notice of the transfer of land must be given by both the former owner and the new owner to the Connẻtable within seven days of the date of transfer. A person who fails to do this without reasonable cause is guilty of an offence and liable to a fine not exceeding £10,000.

Change of name or address of owner or occupier: where an owner or occupier of property on 1 January 2019 changes his/her name and/or address the person must give notice to the Connẻtable within seven days of that change. A person who fails to do this without reasonable cause is guilty of an offence and liable to a fine not exceeding £1,000.
