26/08/2021How do I register as a voter or stand as a candidate in the June 2022 elections?

Registering as a voter is easy, you can check out the reasons why your vote is valued here: https://www.vote.je/  https://www.vote.je/why-should-you-vote/

 

Jersey's next election is on 22 June 2022 and the FAQs on this link may be helpful: https://www.vote.je/general-election-2022/

 

If you meet the simple eligibility requirements, you can then register quickly and free on line here: 

https://services.parish.gov.je/Election/RegisterToVote

 

The Parishes also post an annual statement to all households in the Autumn which invites you to add new electors or remove those who no longer live with you. This helps ensure the data we hold remains accurate and up to date.

 

Guidance for those interested in making a difference to the community and standing as a candidate for election is also available:

26/07/2021Rate Demands for 2021 have now been sent

​Any ratepayer who has not received a rate demand should contact the Parish immediately.  By virtue of this Notice each ratepayer shall be taken to have received a demand for payment of rate and it shall not be an excuse for non-payment that it was not received.

These rates are payable on demand.  Any part of this year's rate not paid by 3.00pm on Friday 29 October will be subject to a 10% surcharge which will be automatically applied.

If you are unable to pay your Demand, please contact the Parish immediately.

Please note a reminder will not be sent prior to the surcharge being added.

 La Longue Rue, La Rue des Bessieres from 40mph to 30mph.

 La Rue de la Ville au Bas, Le Pissot from 40mph to 30mph.

 La Rue de Haut from 30mph to 20mph

 Le Mont Cambrai from 40mph to 30mph

 Rue de Bas, Vingtaine Haut de la Vallée from 30mph to 15mph

 Ruelle de St. Clair, Le Mont Misere, Le Mont du Bu de la Rue, La Ruette Pinel from 40mph to 15mph

 Le Chemin des Moulins from La Route de St. Aubin to Ruelle de St. Clair from 40mph to 30mph

​Refuse collections which fall on Friday 25th December will be collected on Thursday 24th December.

The refuse collection due on Friday 1st January will now be collected on Thursday 31st December.

Walking your dog

You can exercise your dog on Jersey beaches at any time, but between 1 May and 30 September, they must be kept on a lead between 10.30am and 6pm.

Dogs are allowed in many parks but most have specific rules. You should read the signs and follow the instructions.
