|1:Community Support Group|
The Community Support Group's main aim is to help people to maintain independence
in their own home by helping with shopping, transportation, filling out forms,
oddjobing around the house and various other tasks within moderation. Co-ordination of the group originates at the
Parish Hall but is outsourced to two parishioners Thelma and Karen who arrange the rosters for the helpers.
All help is voluntary but where possible people
are encouraged to contribute towards the cost of petrol. All helpers are DBS checked and are advised
to contact their insurance companies if they are using their own
transport. A signed consent form is
obtained from all who require help, this safeguards the voluntary workers. Whilst many of the parishioners may be known to
the volunteers, when visiting someone for the first
time 2 people will usually attend.
If you require the assistance of the Support Group please complete this form.
